5 Easy Quick Ways to Cook Salmon

I love salmon but get tired of preparing it the same way. Are you also looking for different ways to perk up your salmon recipes? Especially if they are easy and quick dinner recipes for the entire family to enjoy. Well look no further. One of my dear friends who is a chef told me about a few easy, quick and different ways to cook salmon. Here is the list. Try each one and add a little variety to your salmon dinner.

Baking Salmon- For this you have to melt butter and brush it on the salmon fillets and you can also sprinkle the seasoning of your choice. Bake it at 350 degrees in a baking pan. The baking time can be calculated by simply multiplying each inch of the thickness in salmon by ten minutes.

Poaching Salmon- Along with herbs and spices of your choice you can cover the salmon fillet with a liquid like broth, wine or water. Cover it, bring to a boil and poach for roughly seven to ten minutes. This is best when served with any kind of sauce.

Steaming Salmon- Keep the fillets in the steamer basket. Pour a few inches of liquid like water, broth, beer or wine over the salmon and also into the base of the steamer. Sprinkle herbs and spices of your choice. Cover the steamer. When it comes to a boil, then steam it. The time should be one minute per each ounce of salmon. Serve it with a sauce.

Grilling Salmon- Marinate and refrigerate for roughly thirty to ninety minutes. Oil the grill with vegetable or olive oil and keep it on a medium heat. Grilling can be done directly on the grates or wrap it in foil. This will reduce the time of grilling and keep the meat more juicy. On the first side, grill for three minutes and then turn it over. Do not forget to cover the grill and keep checking it after every minute.

Pan Frying Salmon- Coat the skillet with olive oil and heat it. Dip the fillet in egg and milk and in bread crumbs and then fry it. Keep it covered for about three minutes. Turn over once. Finally, serve it with lemon wedges.
