Start the Day with a Cholesterol Free Muffin

I have a secret cholesterol free recipe to share with you so that you can start your day eating healthy

Oat Bran Muffins

Ingredients

Flour- 3/4 cup
Brown sugar- 1/2 cup
Skimmed milk- 1/4 cup
Oat bran- 1 cup
Ground cinnamon- 2 tsp
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Mashed bananas- 2
All spice- 1/8 tsp
Baking soda- ½ tsp
Cooking oil- 2 tbsp
Egg substitute- ¼ cup
Vanilla extract- 1 tsp

Method

Take a large bowl and mix oat bran, flour, baking powder, baking soda, brown sugar, all spice and cinnamon. Then, stir it together. Next in a separate bowl mix egg substitute, vanilla, oil, milk and bananas. Combine this mixture to the flour mixture and keep stirring it until moistened. After doing this, spray muffin pans with cooking spray and place the batter in the muffin cups. Set the temperature of the oven at 400 degrees and bake for eighteen to twenty minutes. To make it more delicious you can also add raisins, nuts, shredded carrots, etc.

In combination with these muffins we can make an turkey bacon and butter substitute sauce recipe to make the muffins yummy.

Ingredients

White wine- 1/4 cup
Diced shallots- 1/4 cup
Turkey bacon- 1/4 lb
Chopped chives- 1 tbsp
White wine vinegar- Just a dash of it
Butter substitute- 1 cup
Non-fat cream- 2 tbsp
Pepper and salt- according to taste

Method

Take a heavy skillet and start cooking the turkey bacon until it turns crispy. Then, just remove from the pan. Now chop the turkey bacon and keep it aside. Wipe the skillet clean by using a paper towel. Spray the skillet with cooking spray and add chives, shallots, white wine vinegar and white wine simmering it on a medium heat. Minimize the liquid to about 2 tbsp. Further add non-fat cream and bring to a boil. Mix butter substitute to it until it melts. Now add chopped turkey bacon and keep stirring until the sauce is hot. Now add pepper and salt according to your taste and serve it immediately. If you wish you can store the sauce in the refrigerator for about three days.
