Chocolate chip pancakes are a special treat loved by everyone. A special recipe for kids to make.
What is so different and special about this recipe?
It’s all about the chocolate chips.
And when to place them in the batter.
Ingredients
Aunt Jemima original pancake mix
Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
makes 5-6 pancakes
1 cup pancake mix, 3/4 cup milk,and 1 egg
Mix ingredients until smooth and let stand for 1 minute. Spread butter on pan. Heat pan. Pour batter for one pancake onto pan. Add approximately 15 chips (or more if you like chocolate!) Make sure the chips do not touch.
Cook pancake until you see little bubbles. Flip the pancake. Cook for another minute or two and the pancake is ready. As you continue to cook the pancakes, place them on a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep hot.
Drizzle chocolate syrup or good old fashioned pancake syrup on top.
