Four easy school lunch recipes

Kids in school need variety in their lunch. It is important to give them a variety then they will eat their lunch with interest. However, parents have to be sure what they are providing their kid is healthy, nutritional and tasty. Most parents complain that their kids do not finish their lunch, but if it’s something they like they will surely finish it.

Here are few recipes that can make your kid wrap up their lunch with interest.

Roast Beef Wrap

Easy and great lunch for kids.

Ingredients
3-4 thin slices roast beef
1 large flour tortilla
lettuce
cream cheese

Method
First spread cheese on tortilla. Then, place the slices of roast beef on it. Now cover it with lettuce on top. Roll the wrap, cut it into two half. Let your kid enjoy this simple and delicious dish.

Tofu Burgers

Kids love having burgers.

Ingredients
whole wheat buns
1/2 block of firm tofu
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 cups oats
2 tablespoons oil

Method
Cut tofu into small cubes. Mash tofu and put them in a large bowl.
Add oats and soy sauce to it. Mix well. Make burger patties out of it. Fry them in oil until they are crispy and golden. Now place patties in the whole bun along with ketchup, lettuce. You can also add other toppings of your kid’s choice.

Crispy Turkey Bacon Tortilla

Kid’s favorite turkey bacon as their lunch.

Ingredients
4 pieces of turkey bacon
1 large tortilla
4 slices of American cheese

Method
Cook all the pieces of turkey bacon in microwave. You can also use a frying pan. Then, put tortilla on a plate with cheese and put in microwave for 20 seconds so that it melts. Now put the cooked turkey bacon on the cheese and roll the tortilla. You can also add avocado, sour cream or salsa.

Meatball Subs

A filling and delicious lunch for your kid.

Ingredients
hoagie buns
1 lb of lean ground beef
1 egg
½ cup bread crumbs
1 cup meatless spaghetti sauce
1 tsp seasoned salt
grated mozzarella cheese

Method
Mix lean ground beef, egg, bread crumb and seasoning salt all together. Make 1 ½ inch ball out of it. Brown in skillet. Now add spaghetti sauce and heat thoroughly. Place  meatballs on buns and add sauce, sprinkle cheese.
