Why Everyone Loves Mexican Food

Mexican cuisine is very delicious and healthy too. The native staples of Mexico are sweet potatoes, avocados, beans, corn, tomatoes, etc. But the main component of the typical Mexican feast is corn. It is used in stews, soups and is also made into dough that is then used for tortillas, but in northern Mexico people use flour as a replacement for corn to prepare tortillas. Beans are used for meals in Mexico on a daily basis.

In Mexico different regions have different favorite cuisines, but herbs are generally used throughout Mexico. In north Mexico beef is used on a regular basis due to its climate. The Pacific coast is famous for its corn stew and coffee production. You will find a large variety of fish dishes and tropical fruits in Gulf coast. Food like beans, eggs, corn and shellfish are used by central Mexicans as this place is influenced by Spanish culture.

The most cherished cuisines throughout America is Mexican cuisine. Study the record and history of Mexican food and you will come to know that their recipes have been handed down from generation to generation. Most of the Mexican recipes have fresh and natural ingredients and are never frozen. Behind all traditional Mexican recipes stand various great aromas that include the spicy and strong scent of all sorts of peppers, cumin and cilantro.

Typical Mexican Recipes

Spicy Mexican Rice

Ingredients
Olive oil 2 tablespoons, long grain rice 1 cup, minced cloves garlic 3, one copped onion, chicken broth 2 cups, 4 tomatoes, 2 Hungarian peppers, one red bell pepper, cumin, fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons and frozen corn kernels 1 cup

Method
Heat oil and brown the rice. Cook for a few minutes and then add the broth all at once. Reduce the heat to medium and add all the remaining ingredients. Stir once to mix all the ingredients properly. Simmer the stove and cook the rice for around 30 minutes.

Black Bean Quesadillas

Ingredients
1 tsp + 1/4 cup vegetable oil, diced onion 1, minced garlic cloves 2, black beans 1 can, finely chopped bell pepper 1, 2 chopped tomatoes, frozen corn, flour tortillas and cheddar cheese 1 cup.

Method
Take 1tsp of oil and heat it in a pan and stir fry onions and garlic in it until soft, then mix beans, tomatoes, bell pepper and corn to it and cook for some time.

Spread tortillas with the same quantity of the cooked mixture. Sprinkle cheese in equal amount and top it with the remaining tortillas to make quesadillas.

Separately in another pan heat 1/4 cup of oil and place the quesadillas in it. Turn the quesadillas until both the sides are lightly browned and the cheese is completely melted.
